What would a medieval city be without its secret passages? In this tour you will visit a little-known route, the Charcoal Alley. From here you will enjoy a wonderful panorama. The Charcoal Alley was used by farmers to reach the city center and sell their goods by the market.
The walk will start at the beautiful Church of the Santissimo Crocifisso, later in Piazza del Prato where sets the Cathedral and some of the oldest building of the city. We will reach the highest part of San Miniato where we will have the opportunity to rest a bit in the shade of the majestic Tower of Federico II from which you will enjoy a splendid 360 degree panoramic view of the entire surrounding valley!
Once back in the historic center, we will pass in front of the beautiful Palazzo del Seminario Vescovile and then end our visit in Piazza del Popolo where we could visit the Church of San Domenico with a very particular fresco inside…
